About Us

Welcome to JRVA Microgreens

My name is Jenine Pendlebury

My farm, James River Valley Acreage, is a small direct to community farm that offers home deliveries of freshly GROWN TO ORDER Microgreens.

I started a Greenhouse after moving here to the James River area 5 years ago. Since then, I have expanded my growing knowledge greatly.

One day I came across an article about microgreens and the amazing benefits they have on human health. Find the article here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2772566921000057

After losing many loved ones to cancer, and my own health 10 years ago. I am always looking for ways to become healthier. After some intense research, I decided that microgreens were definitely something I wanted to be able offer the world. And at an affordable price!

No need to go to a fancy restaurant to get your microgreens anymore, when you can have them delivered right to your doorstep as often as you like.

Did you know that microgreens contain up to 40% more phytochemicals (beneficial nutrients and components) than their full-grown counterparts?

After learning this, I decided that I was going to specialize in growing 5 varieties of nutrient-dense microgreens… Then it became 8... Now 11!
